Our journey started in 1972, when Mr. Rajendra Sethia established Western Carriers (India) Limited as a freight forwarding company. In 1978 we expanded to using trailers for freight and goods movement. We reached a milestone in 1980 when we planned and implemented multimodal cargo movement for BALCO. This became our USP, and we evolved rapidly into a single window logistics provider, efficient across all transport channels.
Our trust with clients increased when we became the first Indian company to obtain CHA license for all major ports in the country in 1983. Adding a feather to the cap, we bagged the C&FA contract for HLL’s Raipur Depot in 1986, and was awarded the Best C&FA by them in 1998. 1996 marked the completion of the ONGC International Oil Rig, one of our most prestigious projects ever.
Our success is matched by rapid growth. By 1990, Western Carriers (India) Limited had 20 branches, placed strategically across India, and we grew to 50 branches by 1999. In 2004, Western Carriers (India) Limited crossed the 100 crore turnover mark. And in 2019, we reached and crossed 1000 crores. Our esteemed clients have retained us, and new clients, from Vedanta to Coke, trust us totally with their complex movement and warehousing requirements.
We look forward to a bright future, and are thankful to our clients for their continued support.
Our daily operations are based on the 3 T’s Timeliness, Transparency, and Trust. These constitute the core values for Western Carriers (India) Limited.
